Take a printmaking class with us
We offer workshops and tutorials in screen printing, block printing, etching, lithography, and more. We keep our class sizes small to ensure individual attention, and provide most materials so that you can get started right away. All students enjoy shop access during open hours for the duration of the class to work on class projects.
This four-session course covers a medley of intaglio printmaking techniques in dry point, line etching, and aquatint. Students will move beyond traditional forms of developing line and tone and delve into the experimental.

In this popular one-day intensive, you will learn the essentials of silkscreen printing on paper in a full day of printing. End the day with a completed multi-color print of your own design.
Saturdays, 11am-6pm. Materials to print on paper provided.
In our flagship long-format course, you'll master silkscreen printing basics and move rapidly through a variety of experimental techniques including spot color, CMYK printing, reduction, and more.

In this four-session relief printing course, students will learn the fundamentals of woodblock and relief printing, producing single color, multi-block, and jigsaw block prints.
Four sessions on Thursday evenings, 7:00-9:30PM. Tuition includes materials and carving tools.

Tutorial memberships are designed to meet the individual needs of students who want to learn a new printmaking skill, or need hands-on assistance, while completing an independent project. Includes one month of membership and three 3-hour sessions of one-on-one instruction (or equivalent), scheduled at mutual convenience with the master printer over the course of the month.
This one-day intensive introduces students to multicolor silkscreen printing printing on shirts and bags, using an octopus textile rig.
Scheduled at mutual convenience, this one-day intensive takes 6 hours. BYO items to print on and we provide the rest. Silkscreen experience required.
In this four-session one-on-one tutorial, scheduled at mutual convenience with the Master Printer, students will explore the essential techniques of mokuhanga, traditional Japanese woodblock printing.

Take a one-day tutorial in any of our traditional printmaking processes with the Master Printer or Shop Manager. You'll learn the basics with a focus on creating finished prints of your own work.
Scheduled at mutual convenience. You may book this for a single student for $175, or for two students working in the same process for $275. For larger groups, contact us for customized private workshops.
In this two-session tutorial, learn to prepare templates for plate photolithography, expose and develop plates for a multi-layer image, and print their work.
All materials included. This is a one-on-one tutorial scheduled at mutual convenience with the instructor.
In this one-on-one workshop with the Master Printer, learn to use our electroplating bath to "steelface" your etching plates. Steelfacing makes for easier printing, longer print runs, and more consistent printing of fine aquatints and drypoint plates.
